Join Patrick Mitchell of the Blue Ridge Mycological Society in a presentation on mycology. Participants will learn about mushrooms, fungi, their importance, basic mushroom identification, and voucher info system. The presentation will conclude with a bolete filter demonstration and a Q&A session. Register by 8/20.

Fluorescent Forest: Night Foray

Discover the vibrant fluorescent colors living in Lynchburg’s own city parks at night! Discover UV light and the various fluorescent local biomes found in nature, such as plants, fungi, rocks, bugs, and lichen. Location will be sent the Thursday before program to ensure maximum fluorescent encounters. Meet up on site. Register by 6/12.
